Adding the Road Rehab Subassemblies to the Tool Palette
Applies to: AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009
Challenge
After installation of Civil 3D 2009, you cannot find the subassemblies for use with road rehab design projects.
By default, the collections of road rehab subassemblies are not added to the Tool Palettes. The information is, however, installed and just needs to be added manually. Before finding the additional subassemblies, make sure you have the Tool Palettes open and that you’ve created a new palette (or tab).
To do this, we first need to look to the Catalog, which contains a larger library of standard subassemblies. Once in the Catalog, click on the Corridor Modeling Catalogs (Imperial, .NET). This will take you to the subassemblies that are intended to be used with English units.

Next, click on the C3D Road Rehab Subassembly Catalog. From this collection, select on the little information symbol (1), and then drag and drop the subassembly onto a new palette (2).
Note: When copying a subassembly from the Catalog, be sure to hold down the mouse after picking up the desired subassembly and don’t release it until the cursor is over the appropriate tool palette.
