Create a Custom User Workspace

Applies to:  All AutoCAD based Products

Challenge

Often when people are first learning to customize their interface through the CUI they will override the existing workspaces or create a new one from scratch. As a result, your CUI may have missing menus, ribbons and toolbars. 

We recommended that when you customize your CUI, it is best to create a copy from an existing workspace.

Solution

To create your own custom workspace, go to the Workspace drop down as shown in the image to the right. Select the Black arrow and select a Workspace that is closest to your preferred working environment.

Select the Black arrow again and select Save Current As… Give your new workspace a name. Now you can safely go into the CUI, and Customize the Current Workspace.
 
Note: If you do not have any workspaces available it is likely your menus were unloaded. Please contact support.
