Applies to: Inventor Professional 2010
Challenge
I have installed Inventor Professional 2010 and the Tooling portion is not installed.
Solution
Inventor Professional 2010 does include the Tooling module, however, it will need to be downloaded and installed.
A card is contained in the box that describes this information but is often overlooked.
To download the tooling module go to www.autodesk.com/ait
This website will instruct you how to proceed.
Attention Vista Users!! For installation on Windows Vista, be sure to disable the UAC control found in Control Panel > Users, before installing.
Getting Started - Once the application is installed it should be listed on the Tools> Add-ins list as Autodesk Model Design. To access this module, start a new assembly using the Mold Design.iam template that should now be available. You will be prompted to select a component for which to make a mold.
