Saving Your User Preferences, Settings, and Shortcuts

Challenge

Do you need to reinstall Inventor or move to a new system and you want to know how to save your user preferences, settings, and shortcuts?

Solution

• The Application Options feature allows you to save your user preferences and settings.  Typically used for moving from one machine to the next or for when you reinstall software.

• Customize allows you to save shortcuts you have created.

In both cases, DO NOT use this to migrate from one version to the next, it will disable new features.
