Unable to select the edge of a work plane

Challenge:

I cannot select the edge of a work plane in an assembly

Solution:

In Assembly mode, the selection priority is set to Component by default.  Shift+Right Click and change to Faces and Edges priority.  Now you will be able to select the edge or corner of a work plane.

Remember to change the priority back to the default Component Priority when you don’t need to adjust the work planes, this will allow you to select parts or subassemblies again.
