About This Application

The KETIV YouTube Channel Manager (“the Application”) is a desktop command-line
tool developed by KETIV Technologies, Inc. to manage the company’s official YouTube
channel. It connects to the YouTube Data API v3 to organise videos into playlists
and append resource links to video descriptions. The Application is installed and
operated on computers managed by KETIV Technologies and is used by KETIV staff
authorised by KETIV administrators.

What Data the Application Accesses

The Application connects to the YouTube Data API v3 on behalf of the KETIV
Technologies YouTube channel account. The data it reads and writes is limited
to the following:

The Application does not access any data belonging to YouTube viewers, subscribers,
or any account other than the KETIV Technologies channel.

How Data Is Stored

All data retrieved from the YouTube API is stored in local files on the computer
running the Application. These files include cached video metadata, playlist
assignments, and an OAuth 2.0 access token issued by Google. None of these files
are uploaded to any server or transmitted to any third party. They remain on the
local machine under the control of KETIV Technologies.

Google OAuth & Authentication

The Application uses Google’s OAuth 2.0 protocol to authenticate with the YouTube
Data API. KETIV Technologies never sees or stores any user’s Google account password.
Access tokens are stored locally and can be revoked at any time via Google Account
→ Security → Third-party apps. Only Google accounts approved by KETIV
Technologies administrators may authorise the Application.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

KETIV Technologies does not sell, rent, or disclose data processed by this
Application to any third party. The Application communicates with two external
APIs as part of normal operation:

• Google / YouTube Data API v3 —
  to read and write KETIV channel data. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy
  and YouTube’s Terms of Service.
• Anthropic Claude API —
  video titles and descriptions are sent to generate playlist classification
  suggestions. No personally identifiable information is included. Governed
  by Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.

Data Retention & Deletion

Local cache files are retained for as long as needed for channel management
operations. Authorised users may delete these files at any time without affecting
the YouTube channel itself. OAuth tokens can be revoked at any time through Google
Account settings, immediately preventing further API access.

Security

The Application runs on local hardware and has no web server, no public endpoint,
and no inbound network access. All API communications use HTTPS. Access to the
Application is controlled by KETIV Technologies administrators and limited to
approved accounts on KETIV-managed devices.

Children’s Privacy

This Application is a professional channel management tool used by adult KETIV
Technologies staff. It does not collect, process, or store any information from
or about children.

Changes to This Policy

KETIV Technologies may update this Privacy Policy if the Application’s functionality
changes in a way that affects data handling. The effective date at the top of this
page will be updated accordingly.
