KETIV Privacy PolicyThis privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online. What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or app?

The platform on which our website is built, has been rigorously tested and undergone white box and black box scans by leading application security testing firms.

KETIV authorizes access to Personal Information only for those employees who require it to fulfill their job responsibilities. While we strive to protect your Personal Information and follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. How long do we retain personal information?

Do we use cookies?

Will use within the KETIV online community cause disclosures of personal information?

If you participate or contribute to KETIV’s blog, forums, wikis, and other pages within the KETIV website (“Community”), your handle and comments are publicly visible. Also, please recognize that certain forums may have additional rules and conditions. Each participant’s opinion within a forum or chat room is his or her own and does not reflect the opinion of KETIV. To request removal of your Personal Information from our blog or community forum, contact us info@KETIV.com. We display testimonials, with advanced permission, of customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. Such testimonials may include personal quotes along with the person’s name. You may be requested to voluntarily provide Personally Identifiable Information during your use of the Site. That information shared with KETIV will also be shared with business partners and vendors providing hosting and other services for KETIV.

Does KETIV disclose personal information to third-parties for any reason?

We do not sell, trade or rent to outside parties, user Personally Identifiable Information. Examples include hosting our web servers, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, and providing customer service (Netsuite, Aminian, Hubspot & Replyify). What are the implications with Google Analytics?

We use Google Analytics on our website. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt-out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy. We along with third-party vendors, such as Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CALOPPA).

CALOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. Users can visit our site anonymously. Certain features, programs, educational seminars are not available without registration. Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page or as a minimum on the first significant page after entering our website. Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can be easily be found on the page specified above. Users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page. Does our site allow third-party behavioral tracking?

It’s also important to note that we allow third-party behavioral tracking. What about persons under 16 years of age?

Fair Information Practices

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Should a data breach occur, how will KETIV respond?

Within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of a data breach, notify users via email. As soon as possible, the creation of web notice, web tools, links and proposed corrective actions, if available. Companies must report breaches to national Data Protection Authorities (DPA) within 72 hours of first having become aware of the breach where feasible. Companies must provide specific information, which can be provided in phases, if it is not possible to provide it all at once. Additionally, companies must document breaches, including the effects of the breaches and any remedial measures taken. CAN SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

We collect your email address in order to:

  • Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders.

By submitting a user access request or Subject Access Request (“SAR”), KETIV will provide the following information free of charge: any personal information about the user that is being processed along with the reason, the identities of any persons or entities who have access to the personal information about the user, how any personal information may be used in automated decisions (if any) and the processes involved.

General Data Protection Regulations (“GDPR”) of the European Union

KETIV certifies that it is compliant with the GDPR. The GDPR requires that Personal Data must be:

Processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner; collected for specified and legitimate purpose and not processed in a way which is incompatible with that purpose; limited to what is necessary in relation to purposes for which it is processed; accurate and kept current; kept for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed; maintained with appropriate security of data; and controlled by a company who can demonstrate compliance.
