Crosno Construction is a California-based fabricator specializing in the design and construction of field-built storage tanks for the oil and gas, industrial, and water industries. Like so many others, Crosno Construction relied on Autodesk Vault running on a local server to manage its engineering data. While functional for day-to-day work, the on-premise setup proved vulnerable when the company suffered a cyberattack, resulting in the loss of nearly a year’s worth of CAD files.
