PDF Publishing Enhancements
In Autodesk Vault 2020, users can create PDF files on demand directly using the Vault Client, without opening the CAD application. Vault 2020 enables the creation of 2D PDFs at any lifecycle state, giving users more flexibility. PDFs can also be configured to sync with their source files, so they have the same Lifecycle State and Revision as the source. This is a big improvement from previous releases, where users could only create PDFs at the “Released” lifecycle state. The Vault administrator controls which users have access to generate PDF files on demand.
With Vault 2020, 2D PDFs can be shared and published outside the Vault so that other stakeholders may have access to it. This encourages design collaboration between departments, and also helps incorporate design changes earlier in the design process. This release also enhances PDF underlay support with AutoCAD files, and generally improves design documentation workflow.
