Attention All Revit and Autodesk Users – Security Update Required by August 3rd, 2019

Share:

Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.0/1.1 is vulnerable to man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack that can compromise data exchanges. This means, if you have a single-user subscription using the software versions listed here, then you need to update your software. If you are using software or versions of software not listed here, or if you are using a perpetual or multi-user (network) license, you will not be affected. This is also impacting cloud-connected features such as Revit, Dynamo Studio, etc.

You may have seen an action alert that looks like this:

In order to update your software to the recommended TLS version 1.2, download and install a newer version of your software through your Autodesk Account or through Autodesk Virtual Agent. Subscribers using the software versions listed will need to download the appropriate License & Identity patch by August 3, 2019. For customers using Revit cloud-connected features, Revit Cloud Worksharing, and Cloud Models for Revit, additional updates may be necessary.
