The dynamic behavior of beams under seismic loads is a critical factor in ensuring structural safety and performance. Ansys Discovery empowers engineers to rapidly design and create beam cross-sections, simplifying the integration and definition of geometry. Once the design is complete, engineers can easily transfer the model to Ansys Workbench, where they can perform advanced coupled analyses, beginning with modal analysis and extending to a full response spectrum analysis to simulate earthquake-induced vibrations. This seamless workflow enables efficient design and comprehensive validation of beam performance under dynamic loading conditions.

Join us for this KETIV Virtual Academy session, hosted by KETIV Applications Engineer Hari Mohan, where he will demonstrate how to conduct a full-scale response spectrum analysis of beam geometries. Learn how to easily create custom beam cross-sections or select from a variety of pre-defined options. Explore how to integrate multiple workflows, post-process simulation results, and visualize dynamic behavior, while evaluating stress distributions and displacement patterns under seismic forces. This session is perfect for engineers and analysts focused on structural design and dynamic response of systems.
